Welcome to FVSRA
We empower people with disabilities to participate in therapeutic recreation and leisure activities, which are essential to a rich life.
The Fox Valley Special Recreation Association (FVSRA) was formed in 1976 and is an extension of the Batavia, Fox Valley, Geneva, Oswegoland, St. Charles, Sugar Grove Park Districts, and South Elgin Parks and Recreation Department.
FVSRA supports and empowers individuals with disabilities of all ages by providing engaging, community-based, leisure, and recreational activities. Our programs, trips, and events include competitive and recreational athletics, aquatics, fitness, dance, art, social clubs, day camps, and more. If you are new or want to learn more, contact Jen Wisneski, Outreach Coordinator, at (630) 330-6470 or JenniferW@fvsra.org.
We Strive to Make a Difference
When Alex and his family moved to Illinois 17 years ago, they were referred to Fox Valley Special Recreation Association. Their lives have never been the same. Alex has developed greatly over the years. Because of virtual recreation, he stays connected with his friends and is enrolled in a long list of programs.
