Adult Day Programs
Day Break
Day Break Adult Day Programs strive to improve each participant’s quality of life by maximizing each individuals independence and develops additional abilities. Goals are met by providing opportunities for community integration through various activities and volunteer outings.
Eligibility
The following are basic assumptions of the program which help guide the general design concepts. We will continue to evaluate the criteria based on the availability of facilities, staff, vehicles, etc. necessary to ensure a safe and successful program. To determine the specific needs of the participant and whether or not he or she meets the eligibility requirement of either program, an intake must be completed with the guardian, interested participant and a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS).
Day Break One

Ages 22-35

1:6 staff-to-participant ratio

Independent with all daily living skills

Need minimal support to participate in activities and outings

2 staff to support up to 12 participants
Day Break Two

Ages 22-35

1:3 staff-to-participant ratio

Need moderate assistance with all daily living skills

Need moderate support to participate in activities and outings

5 staff to support up to 8 participants

STARS
Structured Therapeutic Adult Recreation Services (STARS) is a year-round community-based program for adults with disabilities. Through a partnership with the Association for Individual Development (AID, this program provides activities that address key areas of learning in community integration, recreation and independent living skills.
